To declare is to name a thing, 'a thing'; that being, the willing something true by means of speech or written word.

So, by claiming someone to 'be a good person' through the purchasing of this sticker, that must mean they are in fact a great person through the simple ownership of such item? Stuck to your un-ironed jumper like a badge.

To top that, the money did go to a food bank... a charity?!? (It actually did!), Which proves they are, as their sticker says, a good person- Stuff it, A Great Person.

But what makes a good person?

That's just it, one could suggest that it is entirely subjective... with a temporal / spatial quality, even.

Thus, by providing this name of goodwill in sticker form, with a plastic housing, I was hoping to allude to the pointlessness of any material link to greatness or good will. A throwaway, thus temporary, illusion of morality- Or,

an ethical standpoint that's also as accessible as the commonplace plastic bag. This bag elevated to protector, providing ownership to what's inside- a suggestion aided by the nature of the stickers adorning the packaging.

Bagged Declarations aim to explore this absurd trusting in nature, playing with arrangements and statements which test these predisposed ideals as provided by the artwork and artist.

How long are you a good person for after you've donated, and your sticker has perished?
